Cats don’t go far. Indoor cats will usually wander within a 2 house radius, Indoor/outdoor a 2 block radius. Looking hard and diligently in the first hours/days gives you high odds of finding PJ. Look under things. Cats will hide under something like a deck. Call to him. He hears you. A calm loving call will calm him too. He’s scared. Call to him like you normally talk to him. Cats will try to return between dusk and dawn. He may have already tried. Keep a garage or regular door cracked open to make it easy for him to come inside. Someone shared with me their cat walked in to the kitchen while they were eating dinner. Lure PJ home with familiar smells. Put outside his bed, a fav blanket, piece of dirty human clothing, slept on pillowcase, scoop of his litter, smelly cat food. Someone shared their cat was found trapped inside a camper. Ask your neighbor’s to check their structures. An owner shared on here they found their cat by putting out flyers with the cat’s image. An elderly couple had him. Several people have shared they went out late at night and quietly called to their missing cats. They came running. Don’t give up!! My cat returned after a week. I was out calling and looking for him every day. He could hear me. He just showed up while I was outside in the yard. My other cat was spooked up a tree by the neighbor dog. Look up! Contact the Humane Society and let them know PJ is missing in case he turns up there. Stay in touch with them. Shared. ❤️

He/she won't be far away. Go out at night with flashlight and look for shiny eyes. Leave an opening so he/she can get back into your house. Check nearby (within 3 typical city blocks) sheds, containers, hidey holes, garages. Put up posters for folks in the area who are not on line. A nice neighbor might have let him/her in. Also please do not forget to post to 719 Lost and Found Pets of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Lost Pets Facebook page, Pawboost, the Humane Society, and Nextdoor (a free app for folks near your house). Finally, go to catsinthebag.org for ideas on how to find him/her and get him/her back home.
