KOBE IS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND WILL COME IF YOU CALL HIM!! He is 4 years old and has never been out of the hse! We are heartbroken. If you live nearby, please check Ring/security cameras, grges, sheds, and porches for any sightings. Even the smallest detail could help bring him . Thank you in advance for taking the time to help us find our sweet boy 🤍

Check in with Animal Control. Yes, even for cats. THIS is where I found my cat. He was injured by a car and the microchip did not work to locate me, so I'm glad I called them to see if there had been any accidents. Its worth the call, worked for me.

If you have lost a cat read my first long paragraph. If you found one, Please read the last paragraph The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. Immediately anything with the cat's scent on it and anything that stinks of you like your smelly socks something that you sweated in overnight and your stinky sneakers even your dirty clothes and your underwear! Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week sleeping in the bushes and coming out at dusk Dawn and late at night. These are good times to take walks shaking the treat bag and calling for them. Cats can smell up to a whole mile away. So do that immediately and also put this on nextdoor. com and the other lost and found pet sites. Go on those sites looking at pics of found cats too. There might be a match. They tend to come home late at night or early in the morning so if you can keep a window cracked or a door cracked so at least you hear them. Good luck IF YOU HAVE FOUND A CAT: Please post this on all the lost and found pet pages in your county as well as all the neighborhood pages. Look on those pages just look at the photos try to make a match to someone that lost this cat. Any vet will check for a chip for free. In the meantime please give food and water to the kitty and shelter if you can.

My usual advice is to drag scent trails, but you can’t drag them in snow. But you can still set up a trap and drop scraps of cloth rubbed in your scents and make a “breadcrumb trail” to the trap. …. He may be hiding under a porch, a shed, or a car, behind bushes, or in a wooded area—likely hunkered down trying to stay warm. Go out late at night with a flashlight that might reflect against his eyes, and call him gently. Or shake a bag of treats, sometimes better than your voice to attract a cat that’s scared. Create scent trails on the grass and ground leading up to a trap, ideally monitored with a trail cam, so you can respond quickly when the cat is in the trap. Get a towel and rub it with your dirty laundry, blankets, socks, or anything else with the scent of home. (Do not use kitty litter.) Tie a rope to the towel and drag it from the areas where you think the cat might be, creating scent trails leading to your house (or the trap). You won’t smell the scent on the towel or the ground, but the cat will. Load the trap with a little cat food, chicken or tuna, enough to attract the cat from the trail that leads up to it. Rely on the scent trails to get your cat to the trap. Rain and snow will wash away the scent trails, so you’ll have to drag again afterwards. Also, renew the trails every couple days. Try to remain patient and hopeful. Some cats only show up after many days or even weeks. Important: . Never leave a trap unattended, always keep an eye on it, checking it every 1/2 hour in person or with a trail cam. Position the trap close to where the cat escaped. . Trail cam photos and videos are marked with time stamps, helpful to know if and when the cat shows up but doesn’t go into the trap.

Go out late at night or pre-dawn when it's quiet. Call out name of kitty softly if kitty eats kibbles bring a bag and shake it. Kitty is probably close by check under bushes and under pouches. Don't give up, it may take several tries.. Good luck!
