Commenters: Please note the owner stated they are in the middle of a family CRISIS. This is not a normal situation. The dog has been posted on next-door and other lost pet pages. A poster has been put up on the entryway into the neighborhood. Folks have walked around the neighborhood looking. Flyers are going out. Shelter has been contacted, city vets have been contacted. The Neighborhood is somewhat contained and there have been absolutely no sightings. If you’ve seen this dog posted FOUND on another Facebook page or other page or at a shelter or offered for sale please contact the owner with the actual information about what you have seen or provide links. Thank you so much for helping the owner.

A few helpful tips: Start searching ASAP!! Need to start knocking door to door in area lost. Post paper flyers everywhere right away. When looking in neighborhood walk instead of drive it helps leave familiar scents. Look in hiding places, such as under bushes in window wells etc. put owners dirty cloths and blankets outside with treats and water. The familiar scent can be smelled for miles. It can help find the way home. Also check shelters daily. The chips often fail and shelters only hold animals 5 days before putting up for adoption. Also post on next door app and the many lost dog sites in your area/state. Walk your neighborhood in increasingly large circles around your home. Your footsteps will give your puppy a scent trail home. Repeat! Give your mail carrier a photo, description and information so he can keep an eye out for him. Also take same to the local Post Office. Same thing for your newspaper person. It might help if you can find a dog tracker. Your local law enforcement department may know of one or may be able to help you. Also, leave flyers with any gated community guards. Also post them and all your local veterinarians offices.

You Must go to the shelter every few days in person.Check all the shelter pages in a 10-20 mile radius of where he went missing. I know I saw a dog that looks similar on one of the shelter sites. But not sure which one. Dogs can travel a good distance in a short period of time. A lady's dog was missing 2 days and he was found 10 miles away.Post on Nextdoor.com and any neighborhood/community/HOA in your area..Check with finding Rover. The use facial recognition checking shelters etc.Check Pet finders.
