Escaped cats do not go far. They are very likely nearby and just scared. Leave the door that he got out of cracked open. Do not leave food or litter boxes outside because it will attract other critters such as predators who will keep your cat away. Go out at night with a flashlight and a can of tuna and look for his eyes. If you hear him or see him, let him come to you. Don’t chase him. Don’t be afraid to post flyers around the neighborhood with his picture and your phone number. And don’t be afraid to go to neighbors with his picture and ask if they have seen him. Be aware that they may have accidentally gotten locked into someone’s shed, crawl space, garage or basement, so do not be afraid to ask them to look. Good luck.

Leave a door open enough for him to sneak back in and might be at nite. Take a flashlight out at nite and search the bushes and other areas to hide, eyes will glow.
