Message from Owner

This cat is my whole world. I have no idea how she got out of the hse, but I haven't seen her since yesterday. She is very affectionate toward me and would never stay away from me this long. She is 18 years old and she belonged to my son, who I tragically lost in 2018. Duchess was his baby. 3 years after he past, I finally got a message and a picture asking if it was the cat I was looking for. It was our precious Duchess, she had been cared for by a friend of my son's that I didn't know. They found my plea's looking for her and It was a gift from God when I got her back home. It's hard for me to even think she would wander off, she just doesn't do that. If you see her please contact me. My name is Nancy. or six 5 one 261 four 1 7 six.

Most lost cats come home/ are found between midnight-5 am so that’s a good time to look. Door to door with flyers in the area and flyers with nearby vets and shelters really helps. If sighted, It’s better not to chase, lost cats are even more skittish and spooked outside and will even run from their owners. If possible, it’s better to sit at ground level and talk in a normal voice, which will bring them closer to you. Even better, bring some food, smellier the better - tuna, shrimp, rotisserie chicken. If you can safely leave a door or window cracked open specially at night, the cat might walk back in. They can get locked by mistake in sheds garages and bats, ask neighbors to check and if they can leave doors open for a while. A frightened cat in hiding probably won’t come out when people are around.

No matter how long your kitty has been gone, stay vigilant with all lost cat protocols and advice - kitty may have been taken in by a well meaning person and could be very near - keep posters and flyers fresh and communications current with local animal control, vets, and rescues for new leads - keep the faith 💪🏼 Use whatever is applicable in the following for your situation: Extra strength prayers your kitty is safe nearby (cats usually stay in the vicinity) and home very very soon - put their food and warm shelter outside your door in a protected area and/or in your garage - diligently canvas the area and local businesses with large colorful posters and flyers - contact local animal control, vets, and rescues for any possible leads - cross post on neighborhood/community FB pages for further reach - cats are superior survivalists - stay vigilant in searching and don’t lose hope 🙏🏻❤️💪🏼 P.s. Beware of scammers saying they have found your kitty and to message them your contact information. And also how an Instagram/FB site helped them find their pet - don't click on site. All BS scammers. 🙏❤️💪🏼
