MESSAGE FROM OWNER
My cat Matteo, age 13, is missing from Huron St and Sawyer. He's neutered, but not chipped. He's a medium sized gray tabby short hair, with black stripes and pale green eyes. On his left ear, there's a distinctive notch from an old injury. As you can see, he's a handsome guy but definitely has Resting Gromps Face. With my husband and I, Matteo is a devoted, affectionate companion who we have raised from a kitten, but with anyone else he ranges from disinterested/not friendly to frankly hostile: he would paw tap, swipe or lightly bite a stranger who might try to pet him. (You know how cats grab your hand with their paws, bare their teeth and hold their teeth against your skin without breaking the skin, just to show you they can? That's Matteo's signature move.) I don't believe he'd allow himself to be taken inside by a stranger unless he was hurt, and even then, I think he'd put up a fight. It feels so very sad to not be fighting my boy for pillow space.
