The law-required 7 days, has passed. She is well fed & cared for. She is now happy, wagging her tail & looking healthier. I will be fostering her until a local rescue finds her a proper home. I'd keep her myself but she is too strong for me. I adopted a small rescue dog in January. She is not happy with a 2nd dog around. Thank you all for your concern.
