Our kiddo left patio door open and our Billy Bob is missing. He is a very sweet cat. He has never been outside so i am not sure if he is hiding or running. He is a big boy so i am hoping he is just scared and hiding.

Hang flyers up immediately in upside down gallon size baggies to protect from the weather and they will also let people know he is not a stray or feral, notify local mail carriers, UPS and Fed Ex drivers, and garbage men (they cover a lot of ground) they tend to stay close and come out at night, look with a flashlight under cars, decks and porches, and in bushes, trees and window wells, ask neighbors to check their cameras/ring for possible sightings, check shelters daily bc the stray hold is usually only a few days, put his bedding and some of your dirty clothes outside, leave your garage door open a little bit in case he comes around when you’re not home or at night. Post on Nextdoor app, post on PetFBI.org, and all neighborhood apps, ask businesses and neighbors to check their cameras/ring for possible sightings. 🙏 Praying you find him soon. 🙏 I cannot express enough how important flyers are. Not everyone is on social media.

🙏❤️If lost close to home ...leave a door slightly open especially at night .... worked for our pet. Found them sleeping on the couch the next morning . Pets that are lost and scared most often will hide in underbrush tickets or shrubs close to home and feel safe to come out at night to find their way home

Alexandra Everett I'm so glad to hear your cat is safe. I actually would not use my recliner for a few years because I was very worried that my Cats would get injured. I hope your cat stays safely inside. I tried to take many precautions so my cats can't get out including only opening my windows about 2 or 3 in smaller than my cat's head so they can't get out of a screen or window or my patio door as I hear pets doing so on a daily basis when the weather is nice. You need to update your original post so people don't think it's still lost

That’s why I don’t like recliners since cats like to find a place to hide or Sleep
