Beverly Fahema DuPuy Ernest He's a very affectionate cat. He doesn't know boundaries with a newborn, and being an indoor outdoor there are injury/hygiene concerns. He's got a nice heated little estate I set up for him in the garage, but that gave him access to roam at night, which he normally didn't have until recently. Ty for the suggestions! I haven't made flyers yet, but will- it's not really the kind of neighborhood that has a lot of foot traffic. I've been making the rounds with a headlamp at night looking for eyes, and several neighbors have let me scope out under their houses. Pretty much the whole neighborhood is alerted now lol. I have put dirty laundry out into the garage and his litter is out there too. I have a special click I can do that he responds to, but got nothing from doing that in searches. Tonight the temperature is going to be in the teens so the vectors of his recovery are shrinking. If he's trapped or lost somewhere outside, this is it for him. I'm hoping he is either with the small colony that recently vacated or found a er to take him in (he's been known to run into people's homes and charm them for food) I've called to the shelters and gotten nothing yet.

Erik Frydenlund-Clark call the vet who put the chip in. They can tell you what the chip number is and who the company is. Then you go on the chip company's website and register the chip. Then you tell them that he's missing. I'm not sure what having a baby has to do with a cat being put in the garage, was he hurting the baby? If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Ask all of them about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders and give them flyers too, in case he turns up at a colony somewhere. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Ask all of them if they had any visitors or contractors doing work on their houses around the time he went missing. If so, call the visitors and businesses and ask them if they had an accidental stowaway. Walk the neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Look up in trees in case he was chased. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. If he's injured or scared, he's probably hunkered down and hiding, and he may not answer you when you call - that's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators, and an injured cat is prey. Put his beds/blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When he comes home, you might consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep him safely in your yard (both can be DIY). Good luck ❤️

Beverly Fahema DuPuy Ernest He is indoor/outdoor, though with a new baby around we have had to set him up in the garage, which is why he was out roaming- he is neutered, and chipped (if memory serves), though he was chipped a long time ago now and don't have the info about it anymore.

Beverly Fahema DuPuy Ernest The owners aren't always in these groups, so that's why I answered that way.

PhyllisAdelle Sherer the link doesn't give the information I asked. I asked on the FB Pawboost post so the owner could answer here, and anyone reading the comments would see it.

Is he neutered? Microchipped? Indoor only, or indoor/outdoor?
