So sorry your going thru thru this my Mainecoon vanished for 8 full days once and literally searched 72 hours non stop then like 18 hours a day took off work looked thru many miles and didn't see him once 🤦‍♂️ so I decided as a hail Mary to set up 3 Live Traps with his favorite food, toys, and three blankets that both our scents on finished deploying them about 1am-2am went out the next morning 6 hours later and there he was in one of the traps flipping tf out only 6 hrs later after I searched 20+ hrs a day for over a week. So tbh my recommendation is to go to tractor supply or somewhere and buy or if possible rent some live traps and put those 3 items in each one bc if he us a Indoor cat 24/7 like mine he will be very difficult to find bc they get super scared and hide all day and won't come to you calling usually they only move at dusk and dawn so best time to look but if he is a Indoor cat only he will be very close to home for a hot min so deploying the live traps asap is vital before the range of scent is broken. He'll be within a few houses in any direction usually def same neighborhood so set those live traps close to yome Good luck to you will literally be prayin your furball returns hes more likely to be found than not so keep up the faith even if it becomes awhile.

You might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap on amazon, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street and wouldnt let anyone near her. I saw she kept coming around the doors at night and if i didnt have other pets, i would have left the door cracked and that may have solved it. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope

So insensitive to say. She slipped out the door when we came home. I hope you never have to experience what it’s like to not know if your fur baby is alive or okay. We miss her terribly.

Hope some of these ideas will help... 🔻PUT OUT neon LOST posters, have your neighbors check their ring cams, sheds, garages, under the hood of their cars. Look up in trees, under bushes. 🔻PUT OUT worn clothing, SOCKS, blankets, pillowcases, if possible place where they can blow, cats can smell up to a mile away. Typically they do not travel more than 5 to 7 houses away from home. They are more likely to move at dawn and dusk. Use a flash light then to look for your kitty's eye reflection. If you have a back door, garage door, leave slightly open in case they come home to find shelter there, also call QUIETLY his/her name, shake treats if they respond to that having the door open to a safe space that it can come running back to. They're usually scared and resort to survival instincts, do not chase. ⚠️⚠️IT IS NOT advised to put their litter box outside as it can attract other outside critters and keep your cat from coming back home 👉this being said some people do find the litterbox to be a good scent trigger for their cat: 🔻PLEASE monitor the box and NEVER leave outside after dark. 🔻SAME for food, only leave out if you can monitor. Notify your microchip company, mail carrier, your local shelter. Post on neighborhood apps & local lost and found groups in your area (via FB). 👀 If you do have sightings of your kitty and are unable to get them back inside please ask for help in setting a ❤️humane trap. ⚠️⚠️⚠️CAUTION👉with suggestions to contact a lost pet person or service, they should be local and well recommended! A message from someone saying they found your cat and to send a 6 digit code, it's a scam! PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP!🙏
