I'm thinking this cat looks familiar (not to me personally)... But through other social media (as in a past adoptable cat). And maybe it's just because it's a basic gray cat with white markings... I don't know... I'll do some investigating because something is niggling at me. It looks like a cat that needs to be taken care of through a rescue and microchip checked, if possible ❤️

Wanted to share these tips if you have found a pet. Always require proof of ownership. Do not take their word for it as there are some who take them to resell or worse yet as bait for dog fights. So always require proof of ownership. Another social media is Craigslist. Check and post under their community section of lost and found area. Their are some people like the elderly who choose not to be on facebook. Others are taking a break from facebook. Also any lost/found pets websites for your area. The ones we know of here in Central Iowa are: www.IowaPetAlert.com www.PawBoost.com AHeinz57 Missing Mutts (facebook) AHeinz57 Lost Cats (facebook) Lost Dogs Iowa (facebook) www.NextDoor.com Missing Pets (facebook) At no cost to you any vet clinic can check for a microchip. Also if there is a rabie tag they can also check those records. Does your area have any 24/7 vet clinics? There are two 24/7 vet clinics in the Des Moines Iowa area: Blue Pearl Veterinary, 4631 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, Iowa, phone 515 727 4872. Iowa Veterinary Specialties, 6110 Creston Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, phone 515 280 3100. For the pet safety, you can always call your non-emergency police number and ask for animal control. Our prayers for the family.

She's so thin and looks dehydrated. I'm glad you are reaching out for her.
