Message from Owner

Yesterday evening Ekko (nickname: Shmeck), my friends' beloved Tuxedo/Maine Coon cat, slipped out an open door and has not been seen since. He is incredibly loved and missed; we are distraught and would deeply appreciate any help finding him! We have searched the main areas around his last location and have set up his favorite food/toys/box in hopes of his return!

I'm so sorry that Ekko is missing. Often they haven't gone far from the point of last seen so check with ALL of your neighbors!! If they are an indoor cat they are likely hiding nearby. Research shows that most cats are found within a 6 block radius of the point of last seen. Please ask your neighbors to check their sheds, garages, window wells, under porches, etc. Consider putting missing flyers in your neighborhood. Also check online at the found cats at the NoCo Humane Society. https://www.nocohumane.org/lost-found-pets/stray-cats-2/ Check daily because they are only on a stray hold for a short time before they can be adopted by others. Look for them and call for them after it gets dark (around 5pm currently) and around dawn (around 6:15am currently) as that's when they move about. I've heard that they try to return the same way they left so if you can leave a garage door, window, etc. open. Make sure that your contact information connected to their chip registration is correct! There are mixed opinions on putting out their litterbox. Put out a piece of your clothing and one of their blankets. I've seen scammers replying to lost pet posts saying that they have found the lost pet. If you have to respond by messenger it is a scam. Praying that Ekko is home soon ❤️🙏 Here's a helpful resource: https://youtu.be/g2eCoC63B9I?si=nfyOzi00hC5SNFV

Get out calling kitty's name especially early and late when it's quiet. Search high and low with a flashlight. And put up posters with number large enough to be seen while driving. And post on next door com
