Dont just call shelters ho in person. Take a look around. Years ago I had a dog to come up missing. I called the shelter every day. Always the same , no we haven't seen any dogs fitting his description. On a hunch I happened to drop by , girl at desk swore my dog wasnt there. Surprise he was hidden in a far back cage. One of the workers wanted him. Sadly I got him back, but because of his lack of care.,he had contracted distemper. Please actually go inside and look.
