Susan Lafontaine Thank you for saying that. I do have someone claiming to be the dog walker but did not verify collar colors correctly the pic they offered too generic I was not able to confirm. I told them to have the owner contact me and I would go to the house neighbors reported the dogs live. She was very sus wanting me to just talk on the phone, no onsite meet. Wanted me to take a text from owner as proof but I do not know the owner so it could be anyone. Took dogs to my to vet, no chip. In fact they likely have never been to the vet. They cannot treat them until I get this sorted, Owners were given my number (if the person who contacted me was really their dog walker) but will not call me -- possibly illegal and afraid of police? (but like you said that might of been a scammer given details are off) So for now, I am waiting for the neighbor to return to town next week and hopefully I don't get shot trying to talk to them as the dog walker threatened me not to show up on the property while they are away. I am documenting everything publicly and privately but trying to keep it between neighbors and hoping we can bring a positive outcome to all.

Thank you for keeping these dogs safe, fed and watered while its owner is being located. Never turn over a found animal to anyone without getting proof of ownership. Proof of ownership is veterinary records with photos of the animal attached that were taken by the veterinarian inside of the veterinary office. Always call the veterinary office to verify the records are legitimate. There are some bad characters out there. Reminder to anyone trying to claim these dogs: In North Carolina it is a Criminal Felony (jail time) to anyone trying to claim, or take, or keep a dog that does not lawfully belong to them.

Haley Barnes Please have them call me if possible <3 I have heard from several neighbors they are out of town, they do have my number but have not received a call and have been told not to go on their property (by the house/dog sitter -who is also out of town) so I'm at a loss but happy to care for these angels until we can connect and discuss.
