Put out some things that smells like their favorite or familiar people. Do not use a litter box as this may be a beacon to predators as much as the kitty. Don't forget to change out the articles of things so the scent is refreshed. Ask your immediate neighbors and surrounding streets by 5 to 10 miles out to keep an eye out in garages, sheds, crawlspaces, porches, basements, and if possible under any places. Kitties can fit into some very small areas

Use soft, familiar phrases or gentle talking instead. - Set up a scent station at home or the last known location using your unwashed clothing, their bedding, or items that smell like home. - If safe, leave a door or window cracked open while you're home and watching—many cats return silently when things are quiet and calm. - Avoid leaving food or litter outside unless you're actively monitoring. These can attract other animals that might deter your cat. - Consider setting a humane trap—especially if you're seeing your cat or have a suspected hiding spot.
