Thank you for keeping the dog you found safe! ✳️ Please report found dog to police department AND to your municipality's Animal Care and Control. You can still hold until owner is found, but those are generally the 1st places an owner will call looking for their lost pet. ✳️ Please have the dog scanned for a chip. This can be done for free at the police station, animal control or vet. ✳️ Please file a FOUND DOG report via Pet FBI and share to Lost Dogs Illinois ✳️ Post on Next Door and Neighbors Ring app ✳️ Submit a found dog report to 24petconnect and select find the owners of a pet I found. Enter your zip code. Submit a Found Pet Notice. ✳️ Post to Citizen Mobile app ✳️ Walk the dog around the neighborhood to see if anyone recognizes the dog.
