Be sure to post on Lost & Found Pets - Hampton Roads and NextDoor. Sharing and praying your handsome kitty is home safe very soon! https://www.facebook.com/groups/lostandfoundpetshamptonroads/ Agree, go to the shelter on Sabre Road, off Military Highway near Target to search for your missing kitty. Very important to go in person, you will recognize your kitty, staff may not! Tuxedos look similar! Go every couple of days in case a resident finds your kitty and turns him in to the shelter. They are open seven days a week to search for missing pets. You can call for their hours of operation: 757-441-5505. Post flyers in your neighborhood. People notice flyers and some folks are not on social media. You can put the flyers in page protectors with the opening at the bottom to protect against rain. Give one to your mail carrier and take one to the shelter when you go to search and file a 'missing' report. I hope Escanor is home safe, very soon!!!

What’s the cross street on Maycox Avenue? Please file a lost cat report at the animal care center. If Escanor is chipped, please make sure your contact information is up-to-date. Visit the shelter to check if your kitty’s been brought in several times a week. Exceed cats are very common, so it wouldn’t be a good idea to call to see if he’s there. Print flyers with your cat picture and your name on them. Take them around to your neighbors and ask them to call if they see your cat. Also ask them if they have been in their shed since your cat went missing, cats will hide in a shed an outbuilding or even a garage. Tonight after 10 PM, go out on your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk through your yard calling your cat’s name and shaking the kitty treats bag. Use the flashlight to search the bushes to see if your cat is hiding there. House cats normally don’t stray more than 5 to 7 houses from their own. They are more comfortable out and about when it’s dark.
