Message from Owner

We could never keep Nala from darting out the back door to hang out in our backyard, but this is the first time she hasn’t come home. She usually comes when called. She is affectionate and playful but timid with strangers. Please contact Nicole at with any sightings! Last seen on 17th street between 7th and 8th avenues in South Slope, Brooklyn.

First put out a big bowl of water IMMEDIATELY. Then, did you try the kitty litter trick? Take some litter from their box and sprinkle outside leading to your door then call them constantly especially at dawn and dusk and when it's quiet. Kitty will follow its scent and your voice home. It's no doubt scared and hiding. You can also try a stinky can of sardines! Or if kitty is a cuddler, try putting an article of your clothing by your door. Also check area garages, under car hoods, shelters, Nextdoor and Pawboost for found kitties in and near your zip. Don’t give up. And post flyers around your neighborhood. Good luck! And please keep your kitty inside if you let it out!! Between coyotes, diseases, bad actors and cars, there are so many ways harm can come to them. Finally, if your kitty isn’t fixed, please spay/neuter!

Please keep calling her ESPECIALLY at night when all is quiet. She is nearby and may be stuck in a garage or shed. She may have been chased up a tall tree and cannot get down. My cat once did nor come in as usual. I drove around the neighborhood calling her. Around the block k heard a faint cry and she was stuck high up in a tree. My neighbor's cat once got stick in garage.
