Please check often your local shelters for Sandy. File a missing dog report while there and check the dog kennels for Sandy. Post colorful flyers around the area lost, your front lawn, Vet offices and convenient stores. Posters need name of pet, color photo, date lost and area lost from. Also, description of dog, color of collar, ID tags???, microchipped???? and your contact information! Ask neighbors whether they have seen your dog or know of anybody with a new dog of same breed. Ask neighbors to check their yards with the dog under bushes, under decks, inside and under sheds, inside garages. You do the same in your yard. Walk in your neighborhood at early dawn and late dusk and call your dogs name, wait for a reply back. Take treats with you! Check wooded areas near your home too! Place a bowl of food and water outside on your front porch, along with a few items of your dirty clothes with your scent on them to draw your dog back to you! Also, place the dog's bed outside with his scent on it to draw him back to you! If you feel comfortable walk your neighborhood and knock on the doors and speck with your neighbor about the dog.
