Put his litter box on your porch, along with an article of clothing with your scent on it. Cats have a wonderful sense of smell and will come to those items. Leave a window cracked nearby so that you can hear him. Post pictures around the neighborhood and on doors. Ask neighbors to keep an eye out and to check garages and sheds. Cats hide, usually fairly close by. They tend to come out after dark, so look for him then. Call and rattle a treat can if he likes those. If you put food out, stay close by, because it will also attract other animals that might scare him away. Don't leave it out very long. Also, go in person to shelters and vets' offices, and leave a picture and phone number there. I hope you find him!

If outside access cat. Make sure to get fliers out. Door to door if possible. Check areas and ask neighbors to check where he could be trapped. This happens often. Sheds, garages, vacant homes, crawl spaces etc. Walk around softly calling and listen for faint Meows where he could be trapped. 80% of time they’re stuck inside something. Also check in person in case he was picked up at animal control. Wouldn’t rely on the phone, give them a flier and file a lost report. Flier the area. They work wonders. Leave an attached garage cracked open about a foot too in case she was spooked. This gives her something during the night to sneak back into. Keep it quiet outside during the dark hours so she feels safe to return. Soft calls sitting down from outside the door on and off. Lost since Nov. 23? A little past public assistance. I sincerely hope he returns safely, but maybe local vets or shelters or rescues might be of better assistance.
