Message from Owner

🚨 LOST TAME PARAKEET (BUDGIE) – WELLES PARK / RAVENSWOOD, CHICAGO 🚨 PLEASE HELP us find our beloved turquoise / ocean blue parakeet (budgie), Zoro 💙🦜 She flew away from Welles Park / Ravenswood, Chicago on May 16 in the late afternoon. ✨ Zoro is a tame/trained pet bird and may respond to: • her name: “Zoro” • gentle talking / chirping • the sound of a ring / bell she recognizes ⚠️ If spotted, PLEASE DO NOT CHASE HER — she may get scared and fly farther. If possible, keep eyes on her and call/text immediately with the exact location: Please also check: 🏡 balconies 🌿 backyards 🚗 garages 🏠 porches 🌳 trees 🏢 nearby rooftops / window ledges She is deeply loved and we are desperately trying to bring her home.

Posted on Lost and Found birds of the US. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Bf1Jjt1HW/?mibextid=wwXIfr We are so sorry to hear your bird is missing. Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
