General Information: Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Try a live trap, they are fairly cheap, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope

Talk softly when calling late night and during the night to early morning when it quite out .. Might wait in between to see if you hear them meow nearby .... For indoor cats if there is any way you could leave your door garage door or window slightly ajar if possible they know where they got out .. If you didn't see them get out check deep dresser drawers, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, under beds in box springs, behind the frig, the stove, behind or under the sofa, under or in the recliner the washer/dryer or inside if left open .. bat crawl space .. attic .. anywhere small or behind a cat can hide they will! If out cats will hide during the day and are more active late evening near dark to early morning , daybreak ... have a spot light to shine to see eyes in the dark .. they are usually close by and will often come back to the door .. or hide under bushes or decks to feel safe ! Also check crawl spaces under houses , garages, sheds of neighbors nearby ...No food out after dark it will attract area strays and wildlife to the area ... check culvert pipes .. storm drains .. up trees .. and colder weather they will get under car hoods for warmth and on tires also ...this can happen and they could be miles from home . Cats in a new home need at least 30 days to adjust to a new area and may and will travel to get back to their old home .. In some cases a set trap may be needed and monitored! A Trail cam or night vision goggles can help to monitor the areas outside! Post to Nextdoor Ask neighbors to check their Ring Doorbells... Beware of loose and roaming dogs in the area as they will chase and your cats! For automatic garage doors please place a 6x6 block or cinder block so that the door will not come all the way down and trap your pet as they can be injured! Check with area Shelters, Animal Control, and Vets offices also put flyers ... Am sure you have tried most all of these! Don't give up!!

Please EDIT your post to include the cross streets for better assistance. ⚠️ Time is of the essence so getting outside ASAP is crucial.(Seriously. Like now.) ➡️Go out OFTEN, several times, at various times of day. Especially during the quiet hours between dusk and early a.m. BUT ANYTIME IS THE RIGHT TIME TO LOOK! ⚠️ ➡️ STAY OUT for as long as you can each time. Search in ALL directions from your home. EXPAND your search area each time. 🐈‍⬛ Calmly call for or talk to her; so she doesn't hear the anxiety in your voice and stay hidden. ⏺️ Use a flashlight to check for eye shine. Bring treats, toys, or a friend. ☑️ Pause. Listen a lot. And listen long. 💦 Put out water (and food if monitored) ✅️ Hang out her bedding and some of your unwashed items for a scent trail. ✅️ Post on Nextdoor, Pawboost, Petco and the county website. ✅️ Check FB for your immediate neighborhood/area's chat group (s), there may be several. Join and post there. ✅️ Alert local veterinarians too. ➡️ Go door to door. Talk to EVERYONE. Leave a detailed note (or better yet, a flier) on EVERY door. Ask people to check security footage.👀 ✴️ Make BIG BRIGHT POSTERS for your yard and streets so passersby can be on the lookout. 💟 Being outside is key.
