Message from Owner

🎄 PLEASE HELP BRING DUTCH 🎄 $1,000 reward 💙 Our dog Dutch (aka Enzo) has been missing since 10/17 from Willow Springs in Las Cruces. We miss him every single day and are holding onto hope that someone may have found him and kept him safe, not realizing he has a family still searching. If someone found him and kept him safe, we truly understand — there is no blame. We just want him for the holidays. 🔒 Anonymous return welcome — no questions asked You may return him through any vet or animal shelter, or call/text.

Follow these tips per CMM Lost Pet Recovery and Humane Trapping: https://theretrievers.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/TheRetrievers_ActionPlan.pdf Create a scent station (items with your/your dog’s smell - unwashed bedding, clothing, etc toys, etc.). Check it often, especially quiet times (late evening/early morning). This step especially important if in an unfamiliar area! If you have another dog, walk the area with it on a leash. Check nearby Ring/security cameras in the area. Post simple signs (large neon poster, large photo, word “lost,” your phone number) in your yard and neighborhood. (Put in plastic sleeve/page protector first.). Contact the microchip company (be sure your contact info is up-to-date). Check the Shelter(s) at least every other day - in person! You know your pet best. Post on NextDoor app as covers your surrounding neighborhoods. If your dog is not spayed/neutered, may be why it is “lost” and traveling. When your pet is spotted, do not call or chase him/her! Just sit down on the ground and be very quiet. He/she is scared and any voices can push it away (even familiar voices). https://www.pawboost.com/blog/8-helpful-tips-for-finding-your-lost-dog/. Also, pet stealing is on the rise sadly. Check https://petfbi.org/how-to-protect-your-pet/stolen-pets/ for tips. Includes filing a police report, contacting your local media, checking Craig’s List where your pet may be posted for sale. Hope your pet is home safe and soon. (Note: if anyone asks for money or a code as “they have your pet,” this is a scam)
