Such a sweet kitty.😢 🙏I have 4 cats and I know how you feel and this is what I would do. Your kitty is probably nearby hiding and very scared. Your cat needs to Hear Your Voice!! It makes them feel safer and less scared. You need to go looking for her/him. Never give up searching. Don’t be discouraged if they don’t come out of hiding immediately. Cats are very cautious and it may take days for them to feel safe and come out of hiding, especially if they are only indoor cats. Besides posting on social media, best thing you can do is walk around your yard/neighborhood several times a day calling your kitty’s name. Keep your garage door cracked open about 6 inches 24/7, for him/her to come inside and feel safe. Put dry food and water in there. Cats usually don’t wander very far, not more than about 4 or 5 houses away. They hide under bushes or anywhere that he would feel safe. They could still be close by but not able to find their way home. Walk all around calling their name a few times each day. Sometimes our two cats used to jump down into the storm drain and hide there. I can’t emphasize enough that your cat needs to Hear Your Voice. He/she will be hiding or unable to find home. Go outside also around dawn and dusk. Some cats might be less afraid to come out of hiding when it’s dark. Put their used litter box outside, or any unwashed clothing, he/she might smell it to locate home. Post your lost kitty on Nextdoor, the neighborhood app., for your neighbors not on Facebook. And talk to the neighbors and/or distribute flyers with a photo and contact information to neighbors. You have a good chance of finding your cat if you start searching ASAP since cats don’t wander far and they can hide forever. Prayers for a safe return.🙏🙏💕🐈🐈‍⬛💕🧸
