Black intact male, no collar or chip. Medium-large pit mix or similar, 60-70lbs

I moved him into the woods just at the tree line so he was not in danger of being hit more or anything, if you stop you can see him once you walk toward the woods (you will be past the driveway but still across from the hse).

Linda Redmon I did scan it, no chip or collar. AC doesn't pick up our deceased animals in these counties, that is DOT and they had been 2 days in a row about it before I even got there. I posted it for owners to find and also go pick up if they saw it as well, dog is in the woods near where it was found as stated in the post

Is it DEAD? YOU could have called animal control to pick it up and contact the owner if it had a chip!!!!

I would go ahead a bury the poor baby myself if I were you. You have the picture to post. I wouldn't leave it for the buzzards to just eat his body. Thanks for moving the dog out of the road.
