Make a shelter for him with some clothes with your scent on them as well as some smelly food like sardines in it. If possible, keep the door that he got out if open slightly and if that doesn't work I used Kelly Brach from Professional Pet Trackers to help find my cat that was missing for 2 weeks. She has 3 highly trained dogs that track the cat's scent. Her dog pinpointed the location and we set traps and 3 days later caught the cat. This cat was a Foster and not familiar or bonded with us. He was caught in the bushes 3 houses away from us and that was exactly where the dog led us. I would not have believed it unless I saw it myself. So important to know about this service.

They usually don’t venture far. It’s probably scared & hiding near by in bushes or an open garage. Most kitties will stay put in their safe hiding spot. ( if they’re not fixed they can wonder further, depends on circumstances) Ask your neighbors to check their sheds, decks, garages. They usually venture out at night after 24-48hrs when they start getting hungry. The “witching” hour when they come out is 3am. You’ll have to put other pets away and open door or window around 2:30am. If you see your pet, don’t try to grab it, it’s still on survival mode and will run. Just sit down maybe with some treats and let your pet come to you. (Remember, never put the litterbox outside. Other cats will mark it & scare your cat away. 🐾) Just in case, also set some humane traps near by, hide them in the bushes where your pet might hide. Good luck & don’t lose hope. Pray to St Anthony, he hasn’t let me down. 🙏🏻🐾

you try the kitty litter trick? Take litter from their box and sprinkle outside leading to your door then call them constantly especially at dawn and dusk and when it's quiet. Kitty will follow its scent and your voice home. It's no doubt scared and hiding. You may also try putting a stinky can of sardines at your door as well. Also check found kitties in and near your zip on both Pawboost and Nextdoor. Also check local shelters. Good luck!
