Bless her. i am soooo happy you found her and praying she stays! she obviously needs some love, care & attention. it was so difficult for me to see her running scared in her condition and i couldnt do anything to help her but take pics and post and pray! thank you for helping her and letting us know!

Georgia Poodle Rescue thank you for your advice, I know the protocols cause I’ve rescued a lot of dogs and have a family member that works at the pound and reached out to them immediately per usual to see if anyone is looking for this sweet girl. My dogs have wondered off and got lost before and I couldn’t wait to get them back. I’m the crazy lady riding around with a megaphone calling out to my dogs,but have got them back that way. I’ve posted signs on stop signs etc. and in all the groups. Now they have trackers and haven’t left anymore. We go Monday to see if she has a chip. I say all that to say that it doesn’t seem like anyone’s looking for her but because I know the feeling. We would love to reunite her to her family but if not then my sister will keep her and she will become an inside dog. As of right now she’s outside so she’s not being held against her will, until be find out more. Plus we don’t believe in chains or cages. Dogs were meant to run and be free if you ask me.

Pam Larscheid NO! You don't get to make that judgment. Anything could have happened to this dog. The law says all found dogs must go through animal control.

Thank you for being so caring and helping the dog. By law, you must contact animal control, have them scan for a microchip, and follow their directions, otherwise, you can be charged with theft. Also, it is illegal to tether a dog and a possible fine. The dog could have been stolen and the thief could have neglected the dog and the dog could have escaped.
