1) Take pet to any vet & they will scan for a microchip for free.
2) Knock on neighbors’ doors near where the pet is found to ask if it’s their pet or if they know whose it is.

4) Go to (or call) all local shelters & vets -leave photos, a description & your contact info.
5) Hang (far & wide), put in mailboxes & hand out bright, large fliers with the word FOUND, your pet’s picture, a brief description & a phone number that people can call, text &/or leave a message. If possible, use a sheet protector or laminate in case of rain. Staple and/or duct tape to poles, trees, stores that allow it. (It's recommended that you leave a detail about the pet out of the description, so you can use it to ensure anyone claiming to be the owner is legitimate.)
