This is general information for a lost pet..
Put out some of your worn clothing & the dog's bed/blanket for scent. See if any neighbor's have outside cameras. It may help in seeing which way your dog was heading when lost. Ask neighbor's to check under bushes, porches..etc in case your dog is hunkered down somewhere. Check over any hillsides, embankments & ditches. Some dog's that climb/fall down may find it very difficult to get back out. If chipped contact the chip company to report missing & make sure all your information is correct with them. Get flyers hung asap with a photo of your dog, the words "DO NOT CHASE & CALL WITH ANY SIGHTINGS". Make sure you add a phone number which can be reached 24/7. Check the Shelter in person every couple day's to look over the dog's & drop off a flyer while there. Give a flyer to your mail carrier, any other delivery drivers you may see & ask local pizza shop's etc.. if they can hand them out with their deliveries. Pass some flyers out to your neighbor's also. Notify Shelters in adjoining Counties in case your dog was picked up by someone driving in your area and taken to a different Shelter. It does happen. Keep a very close eye on Craigslist. Unfortunately cruel people who find a lost pet may try to sell it. Be aware of anyone asking for a Google code stating that they have your dog. It's a scam & so is the one's telling someone who has lost their pet to go to a Instagram link that supposedly helped them find their pet. Also be very leery when someone tells you to text a random number. All lies & scammers always troll the lost pet sites. I hope your dog is found soon and safely back home with you 🙏
