You can get the dog checked at a vet they don’t charge or any fire station have the machine to scan for chips. I’m not in the Fort Lauderdale area, but I’m gonna share this publicly if it helps and by the way, the dog is adorable

Thank you for caring about this the pet or pets. Can you take to a vet so they can check for a microchip? It's free. Please make sure they scan the whole body as chips can move. Also, post on Pawboost .com, nextdoor .com and Lost and Found Pets of (the county you're in) County on Facebook. Send an email to the local Humane Society and local shelters too so they know if someone calls. Also, petco lost and found. Please get photos and vet info to verify ownership.
