Message from Owner

Mirchis is a very sweet boy, 5 to 6 years old. About 9 lbs, medium / small. He loves to play soccer and fetch with his small toys and is very cuddly once he gets to know you. When I first found Mirchis outdoors in 2022, he was malnourished, dehydrated, and frightened. With time and care, he became a very loving hse cat. In the last year, he became an indoors-outdoors cat.

Put smelly wet food outside, hav a hart traps work, check them often. At night shine a flashlight you may catch reflection of his eyes. Check shed, garages, under cars, anyplace he could hide or be stuck. Put up flyers, especially at vet offices. Talk to neighbors, ask if they have security cameras that may catch him walking by. They tend to move early morning and evenings. Put out used litter and fav humans worn clothes, familiar smells help bring them in. If possible, leave a patio or garage door open so he can get in. Contact rescues & county shelters, take a pic. Physically check county shelter often, they are busy. She will be very scared & may go into survival mode, she may not respond to you. Some wait until they're starving to come out for food. Keep food/trap out & check often. If you have another cat, try putting them outside in a SECURE carrier. Their meows may call the lost one in. Pray. Don't give up!

When he does come home please keep him inside as it is way too dangerous outside for cats.

Check on 24petconnect.com, they are linked to all the local shelters and you can search by your zip code. Call and physically go into the shelters to look for him.

Try putting something outside with your scent on it, worn socks seem to work best. If you have a garage put a bowl of food in there and leave the door open enough for him to get in. Although I am sure you have already done this, start searching immediately and keep looking. Look in bushes, under cars, and anywhere he can crawl into, they tend to stay close to home. Take a can of food with you and call his name or use whatever sound gets him to come to you. Search early morning, evenings with a flashlight, and late at night. Praying for his safe return home 🙏

Also try playing cats or kittens meowing on YouTube outside in your yard or in a window of your home. Check with neighbors as he may have been accidentally locked in a garage or shed.
