Message from Owner

We recently lost our dear kitty Tubbs. We miss him so much. He is the sweetest of cats and loves to eat so you should be able to catch him, if you see him. He also recently was treated for a nasty infection and surgery so if you find him, you might see the shaved belly and scars. We are so worried about him! He was recently neutered and microchipped as well. Please help us find our boy.

You might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope

Shout out to Julie Wilson for posting that chart as I think that helped me figure out what to do.

Lisa Di Lauro thank you Lisa. He was an indoor/outdoor cat who hadn't been allowed free access to outside for the past 2 months as he was recovering from his surgeries and being treated for a serious infection (likely caused by a former animal attack). But here's the kicker, I do not think he had quite formed a home territory yet since we'd only had him for a few months. We actually informally adopted him from a friend who had him show up at her house (in Oregon) and he clearly needed medical care. We took him in and got him 4k worth of medical care that definitely saved his life. The pic is him in his ridiculous onsie while he had a belly full of stitches! But to do that, we unfortunately to relocate him to our house in Belfair. We've had him for about 3 months but I'm worried he wandered too far from our home and got lost. As a former stray tom, he could be looking for his old territory or a female (presuming those hormones are still strong). We have the litter out, food, clothes, bed and have been calling for him anytime we can. But being in Belfair, we have a lot of wilderness around us so he could be anywhere! We are putting signs and flyers out today/tomorrow. I just hope he finds a nice house to visit and they call us!! He's far too sweet to be a wild boy anymore. I feel horribly guilty for letting him outside and thinking he'd stay close!
