We recently moved in with family and two of our cats escaped and we have not seem them since. Fox here is used to being outside but unfamiliar with the area. Please let me know if you think you’ve seen him!

TIPS FOR FINDING YOUR LOST CAT: If you have not Already done so, make posts on your Local lost and found pets and Local neighborhood Facebook pages. Check and search all your local lost and found pet Facebook pages regularly. SET UP A TRAP!!! If you have a garage, leave door open with food, water, and cat’s litter box. Set up a Havahart trap. they are highly successful in trapping lost cats who are not used to living outside. and be patient, it might take some time. Keep fresh smelly stuff in it like sardines. Check trap often. Most scared cats will come out in the wee hours for food. Place trap somewhere near where you think your cat got out. But preferably in a quieter area. You can get the traps at Home Depot, Lowe’s, tractor supply and online. A shelter Might also loan you one. Make sure its a big enough size for your cat to fit completely with trap door closed. Hang up signs with picture of your cat and your phone number in your neighborhood. Neighbors may see your cat and sightings are helpful in knowing where to place trap. A wildlife camera is also helpful. Check shelters weekly in person. Stray holds are 7 days before pets are released for adoption. Therefore, check every 6 days!Do not rely on shelters to look for you or call you. Shelters are generally short staffed and don’t always do this. I know many people, including myself, whose cat was at a shelter that was contacted and a lost report was completed and the shelter never called me. This happens often! Most importantly, don’t give up, it can take weeks or a couple months depending on how hungry or scared your cat is. Most cats don’t stray that far from home on their own. Also, Here is a good video on finding lost cats. Good luck! 🍀 And Here’s a great video on finding lost cats https://fb.watch/hztDiBf5Gs/jkjj https://petcolove.org/lost
