Message from Owner

Trapped stray was headed to the vet and escaped containment. Shy and scared and in unfamiliar surroundings. Kitty was headed for a better life and we still want to provide that for her/him once found.

Please check the neighbor's bats and garages, kitty might have gotten locked. Check both sides of the block. If you can't go in, call the cat's name. Check places that your cat might hide if injured. Call shelters, keep calling - go in in person. If you have shops, libraries, and gas stations nearby... put up flyers, and check-in with people at the counter. Put flyers up around the neighborhood, and talk with your neighbors. Good luck!

Post on Nextdoor and Ring apps. Ask neighbors to check car hoods, garages and sheds immediately. Make sure to tap hoods of the car around. Keep an entryway open for cat to get in. Buy or loan a live cat trap from online stores or local tnr groups. Leave your garage open with cat to enter. Put some food and your clothing there for smell. Get a motion sensor camera to detect when cat is around your property

Cindy Anderson Desimone how can you make these assumptions without knowing details? Cat has been a stray for months. Cat was being fed by a Good Samaritan to keep cat alive. Cat was then trapped, scanned (to make sure it wasn’t chipped) and headed to vet for vaccines and spay/neuter. Unless you’re out there rescuing cats, and doing the work to reduce the suffering and overpopulations of so many unwanted cats, keep your negativity to yourself. Rescuers are filled with love and good intentions and we do it without pay all the while trying to manage full time jobs, family, etc. because we care. So tired of the endless and uniformed comments from keyboard warriors.

Cindy Anderson Desimone cat would still need to be fixed if it was an outdoor cat.
