Message from Owner

Miffy is an 11 month old hse cat. It looks like she has pushed a window open from a third floor apmt/flt and made her way outside onto Parkfield Road in Aigburth close to Lark Lane. We had to put our dog to sleep 2 days ago because she was very sick so this is absolutely devastating. If anyone can help or has seen her please contact us on 🙏🏻

Really sorry to hear about your missing cat. We were in a very similar situation, which turned out well in the end, so it's important not to give up hope. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but no news is good news and it's easy to underestimate just how good cats are at surviving. I just saw your poster in the art gallery on Lark Lane. I'm not sure how much you've postered/flyered the area but a super aggressive poster and flyer campaign was the only reason we got our cat back. We hit every lamppost, shop, electric box and we posted flyers through letterboxes all around the surrounding area. We did get about 15 false sightings but hey! We must have posted/flyered about about 200 spots. We used the printer in Sefton Park Library. After a few weeks, our cat was spotted by a man who'd seen our poster near the Meditation Centre on Aigburth Drive and then spotted her in the garden. This was about 500 meters from our home, so please take into account just how far cats can wander. Have a quick look at this image for some idea. The colours are where we'd put up posters and flyers. We live top left and the red arrow is where she was found. Just thought I'd share what worked for us. Definitely do all the usual stuff. But my advice would be to go heavy on the posters on lampposts, electric boxes and shops, and post some flyers through letterboxes as well, and rope in as many people as you can. If you would like help flyering, my partner is happy to help. So, give us a shout if you'd like. Hoping she turns up. We'll keep our eyes peeled. PS. We were also nearly scammed by people pretending that she had been found and was at the vets. They tried to scam us for hundreds pretending to be the vets and were very convincing. Watch out for anyone saying they’ve found her if they ask for money! Vets will NEVER ask you to pay over the phone! Good luck and please let us know if you want help flyering
