Gandalf's Owner Says

Thank you so much to everyone who shared and assisted in bringing Gandy home! He’s now got a new collar and Apple air tag. We ended up leaving food out and trapping him in a cage after neighbors started to report seeing him. He never left neighborhood. My husband plays guitar and played in the driveway because we heard sound travels and cats will recognize instruments. That night he was trapped in cage.

Put a dirty shirt of yours in your garage (with the garage door cracked) also some of kittys things like a blanket, toys, carrier, water food so on. Kitty will smell your scent. If you don't have a garage the porch will work.. If kitty is normally a inside cat only he/she probably didn't go far. Look under cars including under hood of car, outdoor playground equipment, bushes, neighbors yards, trees so on.

Flyers are very important. They are best put in an upside down zip gallon bag to help protect from the elements. It would be good to focus on a one to two block radius of your location, especially at Don dusk and feeding time shaking a bag of cat treats for cat Food vigorously to help attract your cat's attention if it's nearby and also bring a flashlight with you to help catch a glimpse of its eyes. If it's near. It would also Would be good to put a worn piece of clothing on your porch to help attract your cat's attention if it's nearby and also inside a garage near the opening where the garage door is open. About 5 in and placed inside the garage near the opening to help attract your cat's attention. If it's nearby. It would also be good to post a neighbors ring app which covers a three plus smile radius of your location and alerts of people that have the app. If your cat has a microchip, make sure all the contact information is up to date So you can be contacted if your cat is found. Also, make sure you check this one to two black radius of your home very well including trees, window, wells shrubbery under decks and porches and ask your neighbor to check their shed and garage where cats are often found. They're probably especially scared now with the fireworks and might hide under decks and porches where it is a common place to be found, but especially now with all the noise. I hope if a your cat comes back that it stays inside where it's safe. It's dangerous to be outside even for a moment. Good luck!
