MESSAGE FROM OWNER

Please let me know if you have seen her on adoption websites or in a shelter. I would love to find her and be reunited. She is an extremely stubborn independent cat. In our last sighting of her she was very overweight, so we think someone had been feeding her. She would be 11 years old by now.

DESCRIPTION

o! This is my cat Buffy (formerly known as Paws) from 2013-2016/7. She ran away and we have been unable to find her since then. Recently, we got a hit off her microchip but the company was unable to tell us where she had been placed. I now live in Milwaukee but I am hoping someone has seen her on the adoption websites???? Her name is Paws on her microchip account. She would be about 11 years old now. Please let me know if you have seen her. She is reddish brown with tabby markings and green eyes.

🔻 🔻 Can you or Have you set a Humane live trap? MUST BE MONITORED CLOSELY Cover the trap to block wind, rain, snow, sun. An old throw rug or towel with the scent of home is helpful. Large paper leaf bags work as well, trap fits in nicely 🐾 Alert all neighbors and ask to check sheds, garages, under decks, bushes, even old dog houses. If possible place pets bed in garage with food and something that smells like home. Leave garage door up just enough to allow entry for kitty. 🐾 Sharing 🔴 PLEASE USE CAUTION DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER, TRAP SHOULD BE MONITORED EVERY 15 MINUTES for the well being of the animal ☺️

Cats typically stay close to home. Go out when it's quiet and take a flashlight and a favorite toy or treat to shake when calling for them. Be prepared to crawl into a space to get them. Cats can become disoriented and you will need to go get them. Check crawl spaces with a flashlight. I had one that was disoriented that the flashlight caught the top of his ears. I had to crawl in and get him. I've found him in a bush another time. The flashlight caught the reflection of his eyes. I had to literally crawl into places for one of mine. The vet told me it's because they are territorial animals and can become disoriented. Put up flyers and ask neighbors if you might be allowed to look around for your pet. I have found mine under my home twice, once under a low deck, in bushes and even under a neighbor's car in their yard.
