Description

Intact/not-neutered male black cat. Has a small splash of white fur on his chest and between his back legs. Individual white hairs are scattered throughout the entire black coat. One eye (his right, my left in the photo perspective) has a small dark spot towards the bottom of the iris. White-ish/gray-ish whiskers. All-black paw pads/toe beans.

Message from Finder

Very friendly and very talkative! Approached my dad first where he then called me over. Cat had a lot to say, was meowing a lot and was rubbing his head on my hand and very accepting of pets. He drank some water and licked the gravy from a can of wet food (did not actually eat it though). May be missing a collar? Eventually he got overstimulated and gave me a big meow, a quick swat, a hiss, and then walked off towards Susan Lane.

Thank you for helping! I used to admin several lost and found pet pages and these are suggested tips for a found cat: Please contact animal control and local vets in case owner called them looking. They’ll also scan free for a microchip if you can bring cat in. You may want to post signs for those not on social media. If the cat has a collar without a tag, pls check the inside of the collar as some now have the contact info stamped or printed on the inside. Some have it on the buckle. If female, pls check stomach for /nursing mom and check area for kittens. Be very cautious of those claiming to be owners; ask for proof and/or vet records. There are many people who have ill intentions towards animals especially cats. If you are unable to do any of the above, PLEASE don’t just give the cat to anyone but a reputable rescue who will do their due diligence to find owner or screen potential adopters to find a loving home. Note...if you’re considering finding a new home for this cat...in most states by law, you have to give owners a chance to come forward before rehoming any pet.
