Also post the dog on For The Love of Louie website for lost pets, the Grosse Pointe websites and the Michigan lost pet website in case the owner looks there. If someone claims this is their dog, please make sure they can show proof of ownership.

Let police and the Animal Control Officer know. Also let Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society know. That’s where police take lost dogs from the Grosse Pointe area. Any veterinarian or the police can scan the dog for a microchip. They do not charge anything to scan for a microchip.
