Description

Domestic Shorthair, Gray Tabby

Message from Owner

We lost our gray domestic shorthair tabby 3 months ago in March. He’d be about 10 months old by now. His name is Furb (we also call him Furbalicious or Kitty) and he is a very loving and calm cat. He is a little wary of strangers and other cats and will hide but is very friendly with people once he gets familiar. My daughter and him were very close and we all miss him. We are offering a $200 reward for finding him and will reimburse any expenses if someone happened to take him in thinking he was a stray. He is not microchipped but we did get him neutered at the Humane Society so he should have a green midline tattoo under the fur of his groin area. If you have seen him or have any helpful information please reach out to me 🙏 Thank you

Get your flyers up! Do not rely on social media alone, most of my missing animals come home, because of physical flyers! I do 8X11 in the immediate area 4 per block, the bigger the area 3 per block and so on. I've had the most success with the 4 per page mini handouts of the same flyer. I will give these to the Mailman, UPS, Fedex, Garbage man, Gas stations, Grocery stores. Also fluorescent backgrounds at major intersections 8X11 or bigger. Also law enforcement and animal control. More than likely, it's not going to be your eyeballs. That bring your pet home. Also not everybody has social media. So we need as much help as we can get from the community. So make it easy for them to get a hold of you. and remember the harder you work, the luckier you get! I hope these suggestions help you get your animal home soon and safe. 😉

Put out some things that smells like their favorite or familiar people. Do not use a litter box as this may be a beacon to predators as much as the kitty. Don't forget to change out the articles of things so the scent is refreshed. Ask your immediate neighbors and surrounding streets by 5 to 10 miles out to keep an eye out in garages, sheds, crawlspaces, porches, bats, and if possible under any places. Kitties can fit into some very small areas

Go out in the dark with a flashlight look around all bushes in buildings and under porches and look for the glow of the eyes
