Getting pet scanned for microchip is free many places, such as your vet’s office, petco, petsmart, animal shelter and many fire stations. Also please contact the local animal shelter and report this pet as found. Pet’s family should call there or go there looking for their fur baby. You can foster the pet at your home, the pet doesn’t have to stay at the shelter but they should know you found him/her. The shelter can also scan for a microchip.
