Deirdre Hill-Brown I appreciate the advice. Phoebe was an indoor/outdoor cat. She mostly hung around outside of our home. If she could come home she would. The fact that she's not is a strong indication something is wrong. Since she went missing between 930am and 1pm Sunday I'm hoping someone saw her and took her thinking she was a stray. Her small stature makes her look younger than she is. She's 7.5 lbs of fluff.

Also, if you do put put out a Humane Trap near your door-- They sell them at the Farm Stores and I believe, online at Amazon and Chewy. (Have A Heart brand is a good one....) Sometimes the local Shelters will lend them out to you, so it is worth asking that question too! If you do set out a trap, first cut up a paper plate in fourths, like a pie. Take one of those paper plate sections and put about a Tablespoon of Tuna Fish on it. Slide that paper plate section all the way to the back of the open trap. That way, your Kitty will have to walk ALL the way into the trap to get the Tuna Fish. The door will snap shut behind her and you can then take her back inside your home. Night time is usually the time you will have the best luck, (although, if hungry enough, you might find her back in there later in the daytime, maybe after supper), as cats are nocturnal. ****Check the trap frequently while it is set!!" Don't put it out, if you cannot check on it frequently, because heat or rain (and in winter, snow) can kill them in that trap. But traps are a real good option for this type of thing!!!! Hoping you don't get a big old racoon though, as they are nocturnal too!! (I guess if you do, just put on some gloves, release the trap door and off that racoon will run!!!)
