Put his litter box outside he will smell it up to a mile away. He is scared and hiding nearby. Look for him in the evening, call him gently, and leave your door open for a while. This often works.

If Theo is normally an INSIDE cat... then she is definitely scared and hiding and you will need to go out at NIGHT with a flashlight and look for her “glowing” eyes. She is VERY CLOSE to your house… most likely in YOUR OWN YARD. They usually find a hiding spot very quickly and very close to where they escaped. Look up in the trees and check under everything in YOUR YARD first… under decks, under sheds, inside bushes, wood piles and storm drains. Then check your neighbors yards. They are very good at hiding. THE BEST TIME TO FIND HER IS AT NIGHT WITH A FLASHLIGHT AND HER EYES WILL “GLOW” BACK AT YOU. Theo is so scared, she will NOT respond to you calling her, so you'll have to use your eyes instead of your ears to find her. When cats are suddenly outside, they go into "survival mode" and their entire personality changes. They will NOT wander. They find a hiding spot very close by and are very scared and will not come out for anyone... even their owners. I hope you find your fur-baby very soon!

Sorry Theo is wandering. To narrow search area, suggest listing closest two cross streets to where Theo went missing. Manchester and what? Here's a few tips that have worked for others. Post on Next Door and Neighbors(Ring)app. Post on West County Neighborhood Facebook group and any neighborhood or subdivision FB groups. If he is generally an inside cat, he is likely very close by(within 5-7 house radius of his home). Check every possible hiding place indoors including under reclining furniture, closets, garage, boxes. At nite, use a flashlight outside to look for glowing eyes under bushes, decks, porches and in trees. Give a flyer to homes in the 5-7 house radius and ask neighbors to check under porches, decks, in garages and sheds, under BBQ pits. Sit outside and krinkle treat bag, while talking or singing quietly. Create a familiar scent by placing some soiled litter outside along with good smelly food like tuna, sardines or mackerel. If possible monitor food and litter by putting it in front of a security camera, or keep watch so u know if he comes to eat. Hope Theo is found soon.
