Message from Owner

Update: Update: Sadie is still missing and her sister is not eating well and is showing signs of depression. PLEASE help us find her. There is a $500 reward for her return. 8 yrs old has infection on right eye that’s currently being treated. Has pink collar on that has a bow on it. She is not spayed but is microchipped in my daughter’s name Whitney. The phone number has changed. Has never been out on her on to roam before. May be very scared. Weighs 50 pounds. Was playing with her sister and my husband went inside to fix a sandwich and she opened the gate and wondered off. We have been using drones since last night and walking the neighborhood with her sister. Please help us and check your cameras or please call DSs office or Animal Shelter so we can bring our baby back .

Make flyers with picture saying LOST DOG. Put up 1-4 miles from where last seen. Not everyone has social media

Did you contact the microchip company, report lost and update the phone number to the correct one?

Kimberly Hodge I’m assuming you are her owner? Friend of mine saw a Blue Heeler near the Bridge where 64 and 74 intercept in Bat Cave 2 nights ago. Last night he saw the same dog near the Lake Lure ABC store. He stopped to help her but a car blew their horn and she ran off again. Both sightings were at night so he couldn’t see a collar but felt her coloring might be a lighter gray. Although it’s a distance it very well could be Sadie. In January it took 2 weeks to recover a pair of German Shepherds that had made their way from Odom Lane in Bat Cave to Rutherfordton. Feel free to message me any additional photos so I can share with my friend.

PLEASE - saturate your neighborhood with flyers delivered door-to-door. Include vets offices, public places and any businesses that will let you put one up. Most people are not checking online for lost pets and will not see posts. They NEED a flyer so they can watch for her and call if seen! Offer a reward as an incentive. Check daily with animal control and the Humane Society in case she is taken there. Do an online search "best way to find a lost dog" and follow the instructions given in order to increase your chances of finding her. Praying.
