Message from Owner

Our lovely indoor cat Layla went missing yeserday from Lu40. 🐾She is a Lilac British Shorthair with bright orange eyes. She is strictly indoor, so must be terrified and hiding in a quiet spot nearby. If you live near Buzzard Road, please check under your cars, bushes, or open sheds. Please don't try to catch her as she will panic and run. If you spot her, please message me the location straight away! She is microchipped and marked as lost.Thank you so much for your help! ❤️

Jenny Ratcliff thank you , she escaped once when was 1 y old but she came back at 4 am lol.. I hope no one picked her cos I think she will know the way home.😒asked the neighbours that answered but they didn't see anything..she jumped in the garden and I think she climbed fences or shed on the back to run after squirrels 🤦‍♀️ so God knows witch yard she landed .. Hang items of your unwashed clothing outside your home so she can pick up your scent Repeat every 2days.Call late at night and early mornings shaking the treats.Go out in your garden between 2am and 4am call listen and wait.Put posters up especially on your outdoor bin and in car window.Leaflet drop in your area and physically ask and go with neighbours to check their sheds and garages.Phone local vets.Good luck

I'm sorry your cat is missing. I hope they return soon. Here are a few tips. You may know some of them. Check, check & check again they aren't hiding in the house somewhere. We regularly loose our house/enclosed garden cat. We turn the house upside down then she'll just stroll through wondering what all the excitement is about! If they have got out... Knock on neighbours doors, in all directions. Ask them to open sheds, garages, greenhouses etc. Get them to check ponds & water butt's. If you have some used kitty litter put that outside, the familiar scent will help guide them home. Same with some unwashed clothing of your family & vaccum contents. Go out calling them at night when it's quieter. Shake their favourite, treat or noisy toy. Take a torch, look under hedges & vehicles. The torch light will reflect their eyes. There is a Japanese tradition to tell every cat you see that yours is missing, tell them their name & ask them to tell him/her to go home. I know some who have done just that & their cat reappeared. ❤️
