If an indoor kitty they will be hunkered down under a nearby shed, deck, porch or anywhere kitty would have ran to hide. Look for eye shine with a flashlight. They’re usually only three houses away , either way. Also post on your Nextdoor neighborhood group. Neighbors may see in their security cameras. Get a humane trap set and monitored. Please do NOT put any kitty litter outside. It will attract aggressive strays or predators that will chase kitty further away. Good luck.
