ZooTrek, Inc. This is not acceptable in any way. Why would you not disclose where a family dog went or is located if the owner has came forward? I understand there is different circumstances, but your company is paid by Columbia County to transport these animals to other Shelters which i totally support to give these animals the opportunity to go to loving homes. My question is how is someone supposed to know where their dog went if the facility failed on their part. I understand that there is hundreds of dogs ran through the system every month. Why would you withhold information from an owner? Shanda Kari lawyer up! Contact the county lawyer and the local news. I would also contact WJXT4 The Local Station / News4JAX and other local stations.

ZooTrek, Inc. your assumptions are wrong and so is your “business” I’m not being coached on anything I simply want my family pet back and my children keep asking about her. I should be allowed to know where YOU transferred her. Of course you are probably getting threats because look what you are doing and how you are operating (and not saying that those threats are okay by any means) but you’re simply wrong.

Shanda Kari Actually, we've just been attacked by a group of idiot activists for the last two months, including them making death threats towards me and my two disabled children. Real classy. So, right now we are focused on operations and staying compliant with the law. You can thank them for that. It seems like they are coaching you through this.

ZooTrek, Inc. actually this is a message from a shelter that doesn’t let you get their animals anymore, imagine that.

Shanda Kari That's probably from the person who is banned from the shelter in Alachua county and has an axe to grind. You're being coached in this, I'll pass that along.

ZooTrek, Inc. if you have any kind of heart for the career or business you’re in, you would care about an owner getting their animal back. I highly doubt she has been adopted yet and like I said if she has been, MOST people would understand if you had legitimate proof that she was someone’s family pet.

Shanda Kari The law prohibits the release of that information. You are missinterpreting compliant with the law as a deceptive practice. You need to read F.S.S. 1.01(3), 828.02, and 823.15(7). It is not optional.

ZooTrek, Inc. my dog was contained in our fenced in yard but sometimes she was notorious for getting out and going to a neighbors house, which I was hopeful that she would be posted but apparently people can’t do their jobs and I was not given the opportunity to claim my dog. This is unacceptable!
