Please put out unlaundered clothing. Put out stinky food.
Scent trails out towards the edge of your property using BBQ sauce mixed with water. Do in pattern of a wagon wheel spokes. You can use stinky, yummy treats as well.
Get big bright intersection signs up. They create awareness so when people see your dog they call you or if they have your dog safe they are reminded it's your dog. Intersection signs allow anyone in the area to be aware and allow drivers to actually see the information.
DON'T YELL for your missing dog. Dogs go into "survival" mode and any noise or human yelling their name, even a beloved owner is perceived as a predator.
Finally, check water sources, train tracks, parks, golf courses and cemeteries. Window wells, under porches and decks. Flyer neighbors, postal carriers and delivery people. Check vets, groomers and shelters often! Be a pest to them. They may not remember your lost dog when it arrives in their possession so remind them.
Signs Signs Signs!!! This gets dogs home. Signs create awareness to get sightings and tips! This let's everyone know and reminds people in the area. This works!!!! Not everyone is on social media. Try it! Nothing to lose and a dog to find!
