You should put out some of his food, some of his blankets, toys and anything that has his scent on it. Also set out some clothing that has your family’s scent on it as well. It may help him find his way back home Also, go out at night w/ a flashlight and shine it around. Dogs eyes glow at night, shine it around in the woods by your house, in any garages or sheds, under any decks / porches & under cars etc

All the above advice + Make sure you go to the shelters, animal control, humane societies & every rescue you can think of in person and check for your dog or cat as often as you can. Don’t rely on just calling to check for them. The shelters are understaffed and overwhelmed right now, they may not recognize your dog or cat from al description over the phone. And, put up flers & post on Love of ouie, Pawboost next door, etc., etc

Please also post on For the Love of Louie *Michigan Lost Pet Lookers*, Nextdoor, the Ring app, and Lost and Found Pets Detroit. Speak to your neighbors and ask them to check their cameras and to be on the lookout for your dog. Check shelters in person starting with DACC. Put signs up all over the area where your dog went missing.
