If you find a dog PLEASE...... Keep it secure indoors and contact the shelter as soon as possible, to let them know you have the dog… That is the ONE place EVERY owner that cares looks, while many are not on social media or assume the worst. Also any Vet will check the dog for a chip for free. Thanks for helping the dog.

Please have the dog checked for a chip that will tell you who he belongs to if he has one. The shelter or event will do it for free or even Petco I believe but the shelter needs to know that you have the dog is not everybody is on social media but they will go to the shelter first if they have lost their dog so they do need to know that you have him and at the same time they will scan him for you. You can also put on nextdoor.com that is your neighborhood But be sure and ask for proof of ownership
